Guitar Tab Studio is a desktop app for writing guitar and bass tablature the way musicians actually think about it — on a fretboard, not a spreadsheet. Click a string, pick a fret, and watch the same note appear instantly in standard notation right below it. Every edit stays in sync between the two views, so you never have to choose between tab for your bandmates and notation for everyone else.
Build out full arrangements with multiple guitar and bass tracks, each with its own tuning, strings, and time signature. Drop in whole chords with one click from a built-in chord library — open voicings or movable shapes, your call — or play it back through a built-in synth to hear how it actually sounds. A real-time tuner with a live input meter keeps your strings honest before you start.
When it’s time to share, print or export straight to PDF with tab, notation, or both, or hand off a MusicXML or MIDI file to whatever other software your collaborators use. Import existing ASCII tabs to pick up where an old text file left off. And once you’ve saved a song the first time, Guitar Tab Studio keeps it saved automatically from then on — so the only thing you lose track of is your place in the song.
